DR. JUAN CABANILLAS GONZALEZ

Welcome to our group web-site. We focus our research on the photophysical characterization with time-resolved spectroscopy of novel luminescent materials and their application to laser resonators and fluorescent chemical sensors. We carry out our research activity at IMDEA Nanociencia in collaboration with several existing in-house expertises.

Thermally activated conical intersections governing fast triplet relaxation in Ni(II) porphyrin-nanographene conjugates monitored with variable temperature transient absorption spectroscopy. Read our work published in The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters.

A unique class of tubular polymer structures are developed. These supramolecular assemblies are able to selectively host hydrophilic dye molecules that are complementary in size and chemical affinity for the pore coating, providing containers for the study of energy transfer processes.
