DR. JUAN CABANILLAS GONZALEZ
Welcome to our group web-site. We focus our research on the photophysical characterization with time-resolved spectroscopy of novel luminescent materials and their application to laser resonators and fluorescent chemical sensors. We carry out our research activity at IMDEA Nanociencia in collaboration with several existing in-house expertises.

OUR LATEST RESEARCH

Highly fluorescent and phosphorescent Au nanoclusters stabilized in protein modules as promising platforms for energy harvesting solid-state light emission and biosensing. Get acces to the papers in the two bottom links underneath.

Our work in Chemistry of Materials on thermally activated delayed fluorescence of a novel iodine-bridged Cu(I) dimeric complex and its structurally related monomer. The identical chemical environment around the Cu centers in both complexes provides a clean understanding of the nuclearity effect.
