DR. JUAN CABANILLAS GONZALEZ
Welcome to our group web-site. We focus our research on the photophysical characterization with time-resolved spectroscopy of novel luminescent materials and their application to laser resonators and fluorescent chemical sensors. We carry out our research activity at IMDEA Nanociencia in collaboration with several existing in-house expertises.
OUR LATEST RESEARCH
The nucleation and growth of the β phase in polydiarylfluorene are revealed through combined structural and spectroscopic analyses. Thermal annealing initiates β-domain formation at 210 °C, and precise control of the β phase fraction optimizes light emission and amplified spontaneous emission, offering new insight into morphology–property relationships in conjugated polymers.
A unique class of tubular polymer structures are developed. These supramolecular assemblies are able to selectively host hydrophilic dye molecules that are complementary in size and chemical affinity for the pore coating, providing containers for the study of energy transfer processes.
